Comprehensive Assessment

During the Comprehensive Assessment, the RN will:

  • Assess the client’s needs, abilities and strengths
  • Assess the client’s over-all health condition
  • Identify healthcare needs and present solutions
  • Obtain the family history
  • Review the current medical diagnoses
  • Review the current medications
  • Consult with family members and healthcare providers
  • Evaluate the client’s current healthcare plan
  • Provide individualized suggestions to ensure optimal care
  • Recommend additional services to ensure safety & quality of life
